One of Rome's born-and-bred designers remains our favorite. Stylish signoras still come here to buy cashmere knits from a woman known as the "Queen of Cashmere." A Biagiotti dress fits casually, loosely, but flatteringly on a woman's frame and often contains topstitching and ajourée, or fretwork. She calls her own fashions "behavioral modern art." The designer also creates stylish fashions for men.
