Only 50 m from the area's best beach and surrounded by beautiful nature, the family-owned Knudhule Feriecenter is found by the River Knudsø in Jutland, just 30 km from Aarhus. Knudhule, or “Knuds cave”, is named after a ghost that has allegedly lived at Knudhule for over 300 years. Knudhule Feriecenter offers comfortable accommodation in both cottages and traditional guest rooms. Søhøjlandet has many interesting attractions, such as the Hjejlen, which is the world's oldest paddle steamer still in operation. Today, it sails to Himmelbjerget, which until 1847 was thought to be Denmark's highest peak. The 2400-year old Tollund Man can be visited at Silkeborg Museum, which is only 20 kilometres from Knudhule.
