The Oregon Garden is one of the largest public display gardens in the Northwest and was created to showcase the state's horticultural heritage and the wide variety of plants grown in Oregon's commercial plant nurseries. In addition to an incredible array of plantings, the numerous display gardens include several water features and ponds, terraced gardens, a sensory garden, a children's garden, and a native oak grove. During the summer months, concerts are held in the garden's amphitheater.
The Oregon Garden is also home to the Gordon House (tel. 503/874-6006; www.thegordonhouse.org), a small Frank Lloyd Wright home that was moved to this site and is open for tours ($5). May through October, the home is open daily from 11am to 5pm; November to April, it's open daily noon to 4pm.
