Salon de Provence maintains two small-scale artisans that continue to make soap the old-fashioned way, in limited batches, by hand. They are Rampal, 71 rue Félix Pyat (tel. 04-90-56-07-28), and Marius Fabre, avenue Paul Bourrat (tel. 04-90-53-24-77; www.marius-fabre.fr). Visits to the first are conducted only by prior appointment; visits to the second are possible only on Monday and Thursday at 10:30am.
