Owner Carli Muñoz was a member of the Beach Boys from 1970 to 1981 (he has a gold record on the wall to prove it). He’s also played piano with rock artists like Wilson Pickett, the Association, and Jan and Dean; and jazz greats like Charles Lloyd, Chico Hamilton and George Benson. These days Carli plays nightly at his bistro with a changing lineup of local musicians and visiting friends from across the globe. It's unique musical magic every night, with Carli always on, and bringing in the crowds. Carli's biggest hit, however, may just be his bistro; its food is, quite simply, a melody of flavor. Through such dishes as pan seared, almond amaretto grouper, roasted New Zealand rack of lamb, and righteous rib-eye steaks, the kitchen has yet to miss a note. The trio of risottos is a particular favorite of our among the main courses. The rhythm gets underway early with fun Puerto Rican fritters, the ceviche of the day, tuna carpaccio and escargot options. After the meal, Carli and his grand piano and the kitchen's variations on the crème brûlée will keep you in the groove. The quality of the music makes this restaurant's reasonable pricing a really incredible bargain.
