Frommer's Review
For a Japanese food fix in a congenial atmosphere, you can't beat this clean, well-lighted place. You'll find sushi in all its incarnations here, including a My Spurs roll -- yellowtail, cilantro, avocado, chives, and serro chiles -- but far more is on the menu. There are rice bowls, soba noodle bowls, soups, teppanyakis, tempuras -- in fact, a mind-boggling array of food choices, not to mention a long list of sakes. The need to make all those decisions notwithstanding, this spot is popular with downtown office workers who know that, in this case, they'll be rewarded for whatever bold initiatives they take.
Two more branches of Sushi Zushi are in the Northwest at the Colonnade Shopping Center, 9901 W I-10 (tel. 210/691-3332), and in the Northeast at Stone Oak Plaza II, 18720 Stone Oak Pkwy. at Loop 1604 (tel. 210/545-6100).
