Westin Riverwalk Inn

This property was designed to blend in architecturally with its older neighbors on this (relatively) quiet section of the river bend, while its clean lines reflect a more modern aesthetic. Rooms, however, are furnished in a traditional style and are large and comfortable. All the "riverview" rooms have balconies. My favorites are on the fourth floor, where the balconies are a tad larger and you're a little closer to the river. There are nice details for the business traveler, such as an ample desk with stone countertop and convenient connections. Of course, the property includes Westin's signature "Heavenly Beds," which in my opinion are just that. Perhaps in a nod to its many high-end Latin American business visitors, the hotel has a traditional Merienda Wednesday to Friday evenings, which includes Mexican hot chocolate, sweet bread, cookies, and refreshments (it's free to hotel guests). This Westin has also nicely incorporated several kid-friendly features.
