Don't be put off by the fact that this all-suites hotel is located on the wrong side of the tracks, er, highway. In a converted turn-of-the-century building you'll find some of the nicest rooms in downtown San Antonio for the price -- large, with custom-made Arts and Crafts-style furnishings, including comfy, clean-lined lounge chairs and faux Tiffany lamps. They're also some of the best-equipped rooms around: All offer sleeper sofas, microwaves, minifridges, and 27-inch TVs. And talk about deals: If you don't want to move your car from its free parking spot or take a 10-minute walk to the heart of downtown, you can ride the public trolley bus that passes by the hotel.
