Hyatt Regency San Antonio on the River Walk ReviewWe all know the look of classic Hyatts: soaring atriums of glass and steel accented with vegetation here and there and glass elevators that seem always in motion. In 2010, the hotel remodeled the lobby, and all the common areas, making it a lot more impressive looking. It also added a spa. The guest rooms still look sharp, with sleek modern furniture of rich, dark wood, and modern, attractive decor. The Hyatt gets business and leisure travelers alike, who both enjoy its great location on the River Walk at the point where it passes closest to the Alamo. Rooms have interior views, Alamo views ($30 extra), and river views ($60 extra). Facilities: Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
