Frommer's Review
It's hard to imagine that Donald and Liesl Noble, both descended from King William founding families, grew up in the neighborhood when it was run-down. The area has undergone an amazing metamorphosis in the short span of the young couple's life. Indeed, their gracious lodgings -- the 1894 Jackson House, a traditional-style B&B, and, a few blocks away, the 1896 Aaron Pancoast Carriage House, offering three suites with full kitchens -- are a tribute to just how far it has come. The decor in both houses hearkens back to the period in which they were built, and manages to do so without being overly fussy. Rooms, individually decorated with fine antiques, are ideal for both business and leisure travelers. All have gas fireplaces, while three in the Jackson House and one in the Carriage House feature two-person Jacuzzi tubs. Other luxurious touches include Godiva chocolate at turndown, and fresh flowers. A silver-gray classic Rolls Royce is available for airport transportation or downtown drop-off.
