Hospital -- Hospital Privado Regional is located at 20 de Febrero 594 (tel. 02944/423074).

Internet Access -- Internet cafes are on just about every corner -- and almost every hotel has Internet access, which is usually free for guests. Try CyberFirenza, Quaglia 262, Loc. 20 (tel. 02944/422038), or Net & Cappuccino, Quaglia 220 (tel. 02944/426128). The cost is less than $2 (£1.35) per hour.

Laundry -- There are two reliable laundromats here: Mileo, at Villegas 145 (tel. 02944/422331), and Lavadero Huemul, on Juramento 36 (tel. 02944/522067).

Pharmacy -- The three main pharmacies in the city center are Angel Gallardo, A. Gallardo 701 (tel. 02944/427023); Zona Vital, Moreno and Rolando (tel. 02944/420752); and Nahuel, Moreno 238 (tel. 02944/422490).

Police -- For emergencies, dial 101. For other matters, call tel. 02944/423434.

Post Office -- The central post office (no phone) is in the Civic Center, next to the tourist office.
