Although it's been around since 1907, this basement supper club is rightfully self-proclaimed as the place for a "slightly lurid indie pop scene set in a beautiful old speakeasy." It's also where an eclectic (and usually younger) crowd flocks to linger at the front room's 40-foot mahogany bar or dine on the likes of phyllo-wrapped prawns with romesco sauce or sip cocktails at the back room tables -- while listening to national indie rock bands like Gomez and Arab Strap, and old school acts like Frank Black and the Pixies.
