This pleasant little restaurant is an unexpected and eclectic surprise in the tiny town of San Ignacio. Owner Hantley Pieris is from Sri Lanka and came to Belize years ago with the British army. He now runs a restaurant serving excellent curries in the style of his native country. You can get beef or chicken curry with yellow or fried rice and potato salad. Sandwiches, burgers, chow mein, and fried fish also make appearances on the menu. Breakfasts are excellent, and on hot days, this is a great place to get an afternoon ice cream treat or cold coffee drink. The best seats are in the courtyard out back.
