Frommer's Review
Set on a hillside on the outskirts of town, this hotel has a spectacular view of San Ignacio and is a stone's throw away from the Cahal Pech ruins. Accommodations can be had either in the main building or in one of the 14 thatch-roof individual bungalows. All are clean, spacious, and well maintained, and feature carved Mayan wall hangings and colorful Guatemalan bedspreads. The rooms are a bit newer and have larger bathrooms. They also are higher up, and thus have better views from their private balconies -- particularly the rooms on the third floor. On the other hand, the bungalows give a wonderful sense of privacy, and are set amidst well-tended gardens on the hillside below the main building. There's a large, open-air restaurant on the second floor of the main building, where guests gather for meals and to trade travel tales.
