Frommer's Review
Located just past the end of Paseo Colón and on the edge of Parque La Sabana, the Corobicí offers all the amenities you would expect at a large business-class hotel. The lobby is a vast expanse of marble floor faced by blank walls, although the Art Deco furnishings lend a bit of character. Guest rooms are modern and comfortable, with good beds and walls of glass through which, on most floors, you get good views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Joggers will enjoy the nearby Parque La Sabana. The Corobicí claims to have the largest health spa in Central America; I don't think that this is still true, but you will find a well-equipped and modern gym featuring a large exercise room, on-staff trainers, and regular classes. The Fuji restaurant here is one of the better Japanese and sushi restaurants in San José. However, be sure to book directly via the hotel's website, as the rack rates they list bear absolutely no relation to what you should and could be paying to stay here.
