Frommer's Review
This modern business-class hotel is a good midrange option in the heart of downtown. Although the hotel's eight stories practically qualify it for skyscraper status, very few of the rooms have any view to speak of; those with north-facing windows are your best bet. Rooms are all well-kept and feature the basic amenities you'd expect; recent upgrades have added more contemporary furnishings and decor. If you want more space, opt for one of the junior suites. Rooms and suites with a "spa" designation come with a private Jacuzzi. The master suite is a massive two-bedroom affair, featuring a widescreen TV in the living room and a private eight-person Jacuzzi. There's a very popular casual cafe-style restaurant just off the street. While similar in style and vibe, the Presidente is a bit more tranquil and subdued than the Del Rey , especially after dark.
Facilities:
Restaurant; bar; casino; small gym; rooftop Jacuzzi and sauna; tour desk; limited room service; babysitting; laundry service

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
