This park is affiliated with Luis Muñoz Marín Park , with which it is frequently confused. This green space is administered by the Park Trust of Puerto Rico (tel. 787/763-0613). It's a rectangular, seaward-facing park that was built about 50 years ago to honor Luis Muñoz Rivera, the Puerto Rican statesman, journalist, and poet. It's filled with picnic areas, wide walks, shady trees, landscaped grounds, and recreational areas. Its centerpiece, El Pabellon de la Paz, is sometimes used for cultural events and expositions of handcrafts.
