Two chic new drinking spots operate out of San Juan's finest boutique hotel, The Water Club. The main bar, Liquid, is a large area downstairs at the hotel. It's quickly become one of San Juan's most fashionable hangouts for both chic locals and a medley of visitors in all age groups. With its glass walls overlooking the ocean, it features Latino music. The best bar for watching the sun set over San Juan is the Wet Bar on the 11th floor, featuring jazz music and the Caribbean's only rooftop fireplace for those nippy nights in winter when you want to drink outside. The sensuous decor here includes striped zebra-wood stools, futons, pillowy sofas, and hand-carved side tables. The walls feature Indonesian carved teak panels. Wet Bar open Thursday through Saturday 7pm to 1am; Liquid Bar 6pm to 1am.
