Frommer's Review
This Alpine Swiss-style hotel is similar to La Cheminée and Le Chatelet in design, and it's popular during the off season for its slightly lower prices. The ambience leans toward family style; the staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help you plan activities. Rooms are average size and carpeted; a few come with a small balcony. Guests can make use of several lounge areas, including a reading area and library, a felt-covered game table, and a TV/VCR. Le Village also has five cabanas with queen-size and twin beds and spacious living areas, although they are not particularly bright. Note that cabanas for six means two will sleep on a sofa bed in the living room. All guests have use of the sauna. An ample breakfast features specialties such as deer and trout and comes served in a pleasant eating area. A quincho, or separate barbecue/dining area for groups, allows guests to throw dinners for friends not staying at the hotel. All guests receive 1 hour of free Internet access.
Facilities:
Restaurant; bar; sauna; game room; room service; library

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
