Hostería La Casa de Eugenia

Built in 1927, this lovely old building with bright blue trim used to house the local historical society; now it's a bed-and-breakfast. Eugenia has moved to the States, but she smartly left the place in her charming brother Agustín's hands. The delightful living room with its large fireplace, piano, and colorful sofas leads to five bedrooms, named by color. The verde (green) has a skylight that keeps it bright throughout the day; all the rooms have comfortable beds with down comforters and exquisite linens, gleaming white bathrooms, and little else. Five new rooms, as of 2007, blend modern amenities and bright colors with the inn's historical feel. There's a small new outdoor pool and Jacuzzi. An amazingly decadent breakfast is served in the bright dining room overlooking a small park.
