If I didn't tell you that Sophia's is one of the best restaurants in southern Arizona and should not be missed, you might never give this place a second glance. It's in a nondescript strip mall in the middle of Sierra Vista and is easily overlooked, but the meals served here are unforgettable. You should be sure to start with the house-made mozzarella rolled around basil and tomatoes, and be sure to keep an eye out for any dish with whipped goat cheese (yum!). The lobster ravioli with creamy pistachio pesto is a good bet as is the seared sea bass with leek-potato puree. Sophia's could hold its own in Tucson or Scottsdale and feels like a genuine discovery.
