Frommer's Review
The Miramare is a Liberty-style villa of sedate, faded elegance, and the only hotel on the shore side of the main road, but it is a 15-minute walk from the center. You really come for the setting, not the rooms, which are a bit small with modular furnishings and sea views. The hotel is set in a 1-hectare (2 1/2-acre) park of flower-fringed palms and a mighty baobab tree. A pathway under the railroad tracks bounding one edge of the property (yes, trains are noisy, but infrequent) leads right onto the beach, and next door is an indoor lap swimming pool that's open to the public.

Italian/international/regional restaurant; bar; indoor heated seawater pool; nearby golf course; concierge; tour desk; car-rental desk; limited room service; babysitting; laundry service; dry cleaning; nonsmoking rooms
