Miramare Continental Palace ReviewThe Miramare is a Liberty-style villa of sedate, faded elegance, and the only hotel on the shore side of the main road, but it is a 15-minute walk from the center. You really come for the setting, not the rooms, which are a bit small, with modular furnishings and sea views. The hotel is set in a 1-hectare (2 1/2-acre) park of flower-fringed palms and a mighty baobab tree. A private pathway leads right onto the beach, and next door is an indoor lap swimming pool that’s heated in winter and open to the public.
