Frommer's Review
So you're on Canyon Road but you already wore out your plastic buying art? Here's your spot. Sol is a casual dining spot at the top of Santa Fe's art haven, offering gourmet burgers and comfort fare. Inside, wooden chairs and tables and a painted rug on the floor lend a whimsical European bistro feel. In summer, it's an excellent spot to sit out on the patio and watch the world. For breakfast, try the Beligan waffles or a number of egg dishes. These are served all day. Lunch and dinner bring a broad range of food, ranging from an Asian chicken salad, with blueberries and fried wontons, to barbecue, and five-cheese mac and cheese. Many lunch items are available for dinner, with some more high-brow specials such as a wild mahimahi with macadamia crust. Wash it all down with your choice of 18 kinds of beer and selections from a seasonally changing wine list. If you go for dinner, make it an early one; the restaurant closes early.
