Getting There -- La Cantábrica (tel. 94-272-08-22) operates four to seven buses a day from Santander but cuts back to four between September and June. Trip time is 45 minutes, and a one-way fare costs 2€ ($2.60).

By car, take the N-611 out of Santander to reach the C-6316 cutoff to Santillana.

Visitor Information -- The tourist information office is at Av. Escultor Jesús Otero 20 (tel. 94-281-88-12). It's open daily 9:30am to 1:30pm and 4 to 7pm.
