Originally from New Zealand, Curly and Liz have lived in Savusavu for many years and are now Fiji citizens. They have put their knowledge of the area to work on a series of tours and excursions. One goes to Naidi village, on the Hibiscus Highway, for a look at traditional Fijian lifestyles, and another takes you to a copra and beef plantation, where you can see the modern-day version of the old South Seas coconut plantation. Either of these costs F$25 (US$15) per person. Another trip goes to Waisali Rainforest Reserve, a 116-hectare (290-acre) national forest up in the central mountains, which includes a visit to a waterfall. It costs F$40 (US$24). They have a full-day tour to Labasa for F$90 (US$54) per person.
