Frommer's Review
Once a Travelodge motel, this three-story structure overlooking Savusavu Bay has been completely renovated by Tim and Lorna Eden, who were born and bred in Fiji (he's a former Air Pacific pilot; she's related to the Douglases of Matangi Island Resort off Taveuni). The structure sits on a hill in town, and its motel-style rooms take advantage of the view by having sliding glass doors that open to balconies. The more expensive, air-conditioned units on the third and fourth floors have the best view. The less expensive rooms on the lower levels are equipped with ceiling fans but lack air conditioners. Ground floor rooms are devoted to dormitory-style accommodation, which makes this the local backpacker's choice. Most of these have double beds while two are equipped with four bunk beds each. There no longer is a restaurant here, although guests are treated to continental breakfast in the former dining room overlooking an outdoor pool. This isn't a fancy establishment, but it's clean, comfortable, friendly, and a very good value.
Facilities:
Bar; outdoor pool; exercise room; salon; massage; babysitting; laundry service
