Getting There -- A number of bus routes circumnavigate the lake -- check with the Tourist Information Office for current route and schedules. In summer, there is boat service from Lido Beach to Capernaum.

If you'd like to cruise up to the Christian sites on the northwest shore of the lake, Lido Sailing Company (tel. 04/672-1538) often operates an 11:45am cruise along the lake; you can also sometimes join one of their charter groups for a ride to Capernaum. You can take a bike along for free. The Kinneret Sailing Company (tel. 04/665-8007) leaves Tiberias for Ein Gev on the eastern shore of the lake at 10:30am, with returns at 12:15 and 1:15pm. Fare is NIS 22 ($5) one-way; NIS 36 ($8) round-trip; bikes are free.
