Frommer's Review
At the "Pill Hill" end of Capitol Hill, this hotel is comfortable, reasonably priced, and close enough to downtown Seattle that anyone in good condition can walk there. (Although it's only a 10- to 15-min. walk, be forewarned that the way back is all uphill.) The Silver Cloud is a good bet if you want to check out the Capitol Hill nightlife scene, which is dominated by gay bars and clubs. There's even a hip bowling alley next door. Rooms are all attractively decorated; my favorites have in-room whirlpool tubs.
Facilities:
Restaurant (Southwestern/American); lounge; indoor pool; exercise room and access to nearby health club; Jacuzzi; concierge; courtesy local shuttle; business center; room service; guest laundry; dry cleaning

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
