Frommer's Review
A charming 1855 Gothic Revival meticulously decorated and chock-full of Victorian goodies, including dolls, pictures, and books, this professionally run inn is a very nice place to stay, partly due to its location on Van Cleef Lake. The house has a walkway down to gardens and a sweet little pier on the lake; some rooms, as well as the dining room and screened porch, have picturesque lake views. Breakfast is excellent, served on china with fresh-squeezed orange juice and items like "Victorian French toast." The Laura Hoskins Hubbell room is over-the-top Victoriana, while other rooms are more sedate and very cozy.
