Planning a TripVisitor Information The Senj tourist office is at Stara Cesta 2 on the waterfront (tel. 053/881-068; fax 053/881-219; www.senj.hr). The staff can provide a city map and information about the town. It is open from 7am to 8pm daily in July and August and from 7am to 2pm Monday through Friday the rest of the year. Getting There Senj, just 69km (43 miles) from Rijeka and a little over 161km (100 miles) from Zagreb, is easily reached from the Rijeka-Split highway. In addition, most buses routed through coastal cities stop at Senj on their way to somewhere else. Getting Around Senj is a very walkable city, and you don't have to walk too far because except for the fortress on the harbor and the town's quaint center, there isn't that much to see.
