Planning a Trip

Arriving

By Train -- The trip from Lisbon takes 1 1/2 hours, and a one-way ticket costs 6.50€. For more information and schedules, call tel. 808/208-208.

By Bus -- Buses from Lisbon arrive every hour or two, depending on the time of day. The trip takes an hour, and a one-way ticket costs 5.70€. For more information and schedules, call tel. 26/552-50-51 (www.rede-expressos.pt).

By Car -- After crossing one of the Tagus bridges from Lisbon, follow the signs to Setúbal along the express highway, A2, until you see the turnoff for Setúbal. The old road (N10) to Setúbal is much slower.

Visitor Information

The Setúbal Tourist Office is at Travessa Frei Gaspar 10 (tel. 26/553-91-30; www.mun-setubal.pt or www.costa-azul.rts.pt). The office is open June to September Monday to Saturday 9:30am to 7pm and Sunday 9:30am to 12:30pm. From October to May, hours are Monday to Saturday 9:30am to 6pm.
