Located at the busy boat harbor, this three-story hotel completed a large expansion in 2008 that added many spacious rooms, all with good amenities and a polished feel. The original wing is a bargain; it features older motel rooms, but they're clean and well maintained. The setup lets visitors choose the level of luxury they want and the price they want to pay, and the property is consistently well run. The location is the most convenient in town for a fishing charter or Kenai Fjords boat trip, which means the building occupies a busy harbor parking lot near the highway and isn't landscaped. A courtesy van helps guests get around town.
