Bring a big appetite to this cavernous and brash red-themed restaurant in the basement of the Bund Center where old Shanghai favorites are given a delightful modern makeover. Menu favorites include the unbelievably tender pine seed pork rib, Shanghai traditional smoked fish, Uncle's crispy pork of flame (cooked 5 ways while preserving its crispy skin and tender flesh), and the fusion-influenced cheese-baked lobster with homemade noodles. The tin-foil-wrapped salt-baked live fish is refreshingly light while the dry scallop and dry shrimps on Peking pancakes with XO sauce is a wonderful surprise. Mezzanine booths offer the best viewing spots.
