Frommer's Review
Informal, inexpensive, yet tasty dining at its best, this small chain dishes up a hodge-podge of Chinese comfort foods guaranteed to please all comers. Rice, noodles, and congee form the base of most dishes, after which it's strictly variation on a theme. Yangzhou chaofan (fried rice), xianxia yuntun mian (shrimp wonton noodles in soup), mizhi chashao fan (barbecue pork rice) -- they're all here along with casseroles, simple sandwiches, fruit juices, and milk teas. The scene is typically chaotic, the waitstaff is usually harried, but the food is delivered quickly. There is another popular branch at Hankou Lu 309 (tel. 021/6360-5008).
