Frommer's Review
Housed in a three-story traditional Chinese pavilion just south of Yu Yuan and Jiu Qu Qiao (Bridge of Nine Turnings), this restaurant has become a de rigueur stop on the average tourist itinerary strictly on the basis of its celebrity guest list (Queen Elizabeth II, Fidel Castro, President Bill Clinton, et. al.). Specialties such as the seasonal Yangcheng Hu crab, shark's fin, and President Clinton's favorite sansi meimao su (pasty stuffed with pork, bamboo, and mushrooms) sell well, though prices are generally inflated. The automatic 10% service charge is a guarantee that you won't get much in the way of service.
