Frommer's Review
This restaurant off trendy Hengshan Lu is a top choice with many Shanghai expatriates (Thais included) for unpretentious, authentic, and reasonably priced Thai food. The setting is a cozy two-story cottage with olive green walls adorned with simple Thai friezes, and the food is comfortingly familiar with a few interesting twists. Especially pleasing are the refreshing pomelo (grapefruit) salad with pineapple appetizer, tom yam shrimp soup, panaeng pork curry, and seafood with glass noodle salad. The busy waitstaff puts on a friendly face. Patio dining in the warmer months provides a lovely respite from the city bustle. There is another branch at Xin Tiandi (tel. 021/6326-2088).
