Frommer's Review
This modern minimalist restaurant with stark walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an open kitchen serves up the comfort foods of home while making good use of fresh local ingredients. The menu changes frequently but established favorites include the beetroot carpaccio with goat's cheese, the soy and ginger salmon with green tea soba, the T-bone steak, and the beef pie. Wines, chosen from an impressive list, are served in specially imported glasses. Save room for the home made desserts. There is alfresco dining on the second-floor patio during the warmer months. This is as comfortable and as unpretentious as fine dining gets. On weekends, Mesa also serves one of the best homestyle brunches in town.
