Frommer's Review
Located in the basement of the Hilton Hotel, this elegant, award-winning restaurant specializes in fresh seafood from Ningbo, in case the restaurant's blue hues, flowing water, glass bridge and tanks of fresh fish hadn't already alerted you. Though the average diner cannot discern any real differences between Ningbo and Shanghainese cuisine, here you'll find some wonderfully subtle and unusual combinations of flavor and ingredients in the seafood dishes you're not likely to encounter in even many a local restaurant. Popular dishes include the deep fried crab with sinfully thick roe, steamed snow cabbage with yellow fish, clams on a sizzling plate, and braised river eel. The shrimp with crispy seaweed is unusual, if not to everyone's taste. The staff can be helpful, but service drops off considerably when it gets busy.
