Frommer's Review
This four-star hotel, located just north of the Hilton, has resuscitated its reputation from the late 1990s when it was perceived as a somewhat sordid hotel where solicitations were commonplace. International management of the 27-story tower, provided by a Singapore group, now seems determined to maintain a squeaky-clean image and has improved the overall quality of stay quite a bit. Guest rooms, renovated in 2006, are bright and airy, with just enough room for a work desk, coffee table, and two chairs. Fitness facilities are extensive. The generally helpful staff speaks fairly good English. With discounts averaging 50%, this is an attractively priced, perfectly comfortable option if the Hilton next door proves too dear.
Facilities: 5 restaurants; deli; lounge; 20m (66-ft.) indoor swimming pool; lighted outdoor tennis court; squash court; health club w/Jacuzzi and sauna; concierge; tour desk; business center; shopping arcade; salon; 24-hr. room service; babysitting; same-day laundry service/dry cleaning; nonsmoking rooms; executive-level rooms

| 0 stars | Frommer's Recommended | |
| 1 stars | Frommer's Highly Recommended | |
| 2 stars | Frommer's Very Highly Recommended | |
| 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
