Frommer's Review
This thoroughly western 32-story Holiday Inn offers excellent value, after discounts, among four-star hotels in Pudong. Guest rooms are spacious and bright, with bird's-eye maple furniture, comfortable beds, and all the amenities you're likely to need. The white tile bathrooms are spotless, and service is efficient and professional. Given the hotel's tourist-unfriendly location in the middle of the business district of south central Pudong, little wonder most of its guests are business travelers, but individual tourists occasionally find their way here as well, especially with the opening of the Fuxing Lu Tunnel. The Metro 2 subway station is also within walking distance, allowing easier access to the rest of Shanghai.
