Frommer's Review
Opened on the Nanjing Lu Pedestrian Mall in 1998 by a local millionaire who fell in love with European art, the block-deep Ramada Plaza strives very hard for an old-world elegance, with Italian and Spanish marbles, stained-glass skylights, and wainscoting in its cavernous, brightly lit lobby, but it all seems a bit cold and empty. The staff is efficient enough, and competitive discounts and an excellent location right on the pedestrian mall seem to please most guests. Rooms, facing an enormous atrium festooned with Greek statuary and fake palm trees, are unremarkably decorated but comfortable, with firm beds and all the usual four-star amenities.
Facilities:
4 restaurants; bar; lounge; indoor pool; fitness center with sauna; concierge; business center; salon; 24-hr. room service; same-day laundry service/dry cleaning; executive-level rooms
