Head to M97 Gallery for a celebration of contemporary and fine art photography. With high ceilings and  exposed beams,  the main  exhibition room is airy and minimalistic, with the industrial feel that characterizes most of the art galleries in the Moganshan Road art district. Established in 2006 by long-time China resident and photography specialist Steven Harris, M97 brings international standards for the photography trade to China's rapidly changing art market. M97 represents and promotes the works of over 30 photographers, both emerging and well-established, and assists everyone from the first-time individual collector all the way up to museums and institutions. Although it works with internationally-recognized artists such as Michael Wolf and Nadav Kander, M97 has become known in particular for its work discovering Chinese photographers. You'll be sure to find something you like.
Main exhibitions rotate every six to eight weeks but there is a wide range of works on display in the private viewing room. The gallery also has a photography books and catalogues for sale.
