Come here if the nearby Salvo hotel—which is also in the same price range but a touch nicer—is booked up. Skip the very mediocre Asian breakfast and hop outside to sample one of the many restaurants in the area or the street fare down one of the side alleys. The hotel's location right in the middle of the pedestrian shopping streets of East Nanjing Road means you shouldn't find much reason to spend time in your room. Good thing, because at this price you shouldn't be expecting much from your accommodations—just a basic room in a small-scale hotel with walls that can feel a little thin. But if you're on a budget but still want to be centrally located, this is your spot.
