Banks -- Banks are generally open Saturday to Thursday 8:30am to 1pm (or later) and closed Friday. ATMs can be found at the main banks and in most shopping malls.

Drugstore -- Most pharmacies are open 9am to 1:30pm and 4:30 to 10pm, closing earlier on Fridays. All government and private hospitals have on-site pharmacies. For a list of 24-hour pharmacies, ask your hotel concierge.

Hospital -- Al Qassimi Hospital (tel. 6/538-6444), on Wasit Road, is the government-run hospital offering a full range of medical and healthcare services.

Post Office -- Sharjah's Central Post Office (tel. 6/572-2219) is in Al Soor and open Saturday through Thursday from 8am to 8pm.
