This park is a slender peninsula that extends off the southern end of the Sinai. It's chiefly known for the spectacular diving and snorkeling afforded by the reef here, which marks the intersection of the relatively shallow Gulf of Suez and the depths of the Gulf of Aqaba. It's claimed that there are more than a 1,000 species of fish here, as well as more than 170 species of coral. It's easy to let hours slip by just floating on the surface watching the seemingly endless variety of the undersea world drift by underneath.
