Soup Dragon ReviewThis is a longtime popular Pub Street cafe now with three floors and excellent views of the Old Market area. It is a place of noodles and soup. Authentic Vietnamese staples such as pho (noodle soup), fresh spring rolls, and all manner of wok-fried dishes are the mainstays. There are two floors of open-air dining overlooking the busy street in the center of town and they are always packed. There is also a large rooftop area. The place opens into a casual bar in the late evening and, whether to just escape the heat at noontime or to talk late into the night, Soup Dragon is a good place to enjoy cool drinks and a fine Sinitic meal. Try the Soup Ch'nang Dae. Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. | 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
