Standing on 16 hectares (40 acres) of wooded grounds, this beautiful 19th-century manor house lies less than 1km (3/4 mile) below the Tivoli Palácio de Seteais . The manor house was originally built as a rural annex of a much larger palace (the Palácio do Relogio) in Sintra's center. The generally spacious rooms have high ceilings and formal 19th-century furniture. All units come equipped with neatly kept bathrooms containing tub/shower combinations. On the premises is a verdant English-style garden. Within a 16km (10-mile) walk from the main house are an archaeological dig, where Roman coins and artifacts from the Bronze Age have been unearthed, and bubbling springs whose pure waters were noted by historians during the 15th century.
