Families and self-caterers are particularly well-served by these apartment-style lodgings inside a long log cabin, with views of Snæfellsjökull glacier 30km (19 miles) away. The interior is modern and unfancy; but it has plenty of communal space and feels more like a real home than just a unit to sleep in.  The plain original five flats are in the log cabin main building, along with some communal space. In 2012, nine standalone cottages were added, which are a variety of sizes, sleeping anywhere from 2 to 12 people.
