Where else can you go for sculpture, sylvan solitude, and art-filled bathrooms? This 30-acre retreat, now affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution, features some 20 pieces of sculpture on loan from the Hirshhorn Museum. Visitors are welcomed by the Tribute to the Oyster Tonger, with other sculptures installed along the walking path. Rest on one of the benches designed by local children, enjoy the 113 varieties of azaleas, and don't miss those bathrooms.
