Getting There -- Sorrento is served by frequent express trains from Naples (trip time: 1 hr.). The high-speed train, called Ferrovia Circumvesuviana, leaves from one floor underground at Stazione Centrale.

By car from Naples, head south on Route 18, cutting west at the junction with Route S145.

Visitor Information -- The tourist office is at Via de Maio 35 (tel. 081-8074033), which winds down to the port where ships headed for Capri and Naples anchor. It's open Monday to Saturday 8:30am to 6:30pm. Open on Sunday 8:30am to 6:30pm in summer.
